The City of Baltimore Department of Human Resources Recruitment Division provides a vital first contact with the general public and potential candidates for Baltimore City Government employment. This division is responsible for performing various recruiting functions including evaluating employment applications to establish Classified Civil Service positions eligible list. Eligible lists for classified civil service positions are utilized by city agencies to fill vacancies.

Applications for classified civil service positions are accepted only when the classification is posted. To apply for non-classified positions follow the instructions listed in the job announcement.

Current job announcements are accessible via any computer with internet access. In addition, kiosk computers, for accessing the eRecruit system during business hours, are available at the Department of Human Resources Recruitment office.
