Mission

The Department of Legislative Reference was established by the City Charter to draft legislation,and serve as the official depository for City documents and as a reference library for legislation regarding the operations of the local government.

Baltimore City Archives

The Baltimore City Archives - in conjunction with the Maryland State Archives - is the central depository for government records of permanent value.
