Baltimore City Recreation and Parks’ Aquatics Division is seeking dependable and qualified individuals to fill the various seasonal/temporary non-civil service positions during spring/summer 2012:
Swimming Pool Manager
Type: Seasonal, Non-Civil Service
Hourly Rate: $13.02
Minimum Age: 21 years
Description: Oversee the operation of a park swimming pool with staff of approximately 25 employees. Will be responsible for performing both technical and supervisory duties, including, scheduling of staff, programming, etc.
Requirements: Swimming Pool Operators Certification, Lifeguard Training, CPR, First-Aid and AED Certification and a minimum of 4 years experience in swimming pool operations.
Swimming Pool Operator
Type: Seasonal, Non-Civil Service
Hourly Rate: $10.80
Minimum Age: 17 years
Description: Oversee the operation of a walk-to pool. Will be responsible for both technical and supervisory duties; including, scheduling of staff, programming, etc.
Requirements: Swimming Pool Operators Certification, Lifeguard Training, CPR, First-Aid, and AED Certification.
Lifeguard I
Type: Seasonal, Non-Civil Service
Hourly Rate: $8.85
Minimum Age: 15 years
Description: Monitors activities of patrons/swimmers at a municipal swimming pool to prevent accidents and provide needed assistance. Maintain order and cleanliness in the pool area. Perform related duties as required. May be reassigned as needed.
Requirements: Lifeguard Training, CPR, First-Aid, and AED Certification.
Lifeguard II (Water Safety Instructor)
Type: Seasonal, Non-Civil Service
Hourly Rate: $10.02
Minimum Age: 17 years
Description: Conduct water safety courses at the municipal swimming pools. Perform lifeguard duties and related duties as required.
Requirements: Water Safety Instructors certificate, Lifeguard Training, CPR, First-Aid, and AED Certification.
Recreation Activities Assistant
Type: Seasonal, Non-Civil Service
Hourly Rate: $8.70
Minimum Age: 21 years
Description: Monitors activities of patrons at municipal swimming pools. Provide assistance/support to Pool Operator/Manager at entrance, in locker room etc.
Requirements: CPR, First-Aid and AED Certification.
Swimming Pool Attendant
Type: Seasonal, Non-Civil Service
Hourly Rate: $7.25
Minimum Age: 14 years
Description: Monitors entrance/locker room of municipal swimming pools. Maintain order and cleanliness in and around the pool area. Perform related duties as required.
Requirements: CPR, First Aid and AED Certification.
