Baltimore City Department of Recreation and Parks - TreeBaltimore

TreeBaltimore is a Mayoral initiative to increase the number of trees planted and cared for in our city. It is a city-led program administered by the Department of Recreation and Parks.

TreeBaltimore invites you to participate in our award-winning effort to increase Baltimore’s tree canopy. By planting a tree at your home, business or park you are helping to clean our air and water, reduce summer air temperatures, save energy, buffer noise and increase the economic stability of Baltimore.

Vision Statement

The City of Baltimore strives to have a healthy, diverse, sustainable urban forest that contributes to the environmental, economic and social well being of its citizens.

TreeBaltimore is a vital city program aimed at creating a greener, healthier and more vibrant City. This will be accomplished through a combination of natural regeneration, tree plantings, maintenance of existing trees and fostering a sense of stewardship among residents that will ultimately improve the livability and sustainability of Baltimore through enhancements to its tree canopy.
