The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists of the traffic and parking modifications in effect for the Baltimore Book Festival. The event will be held on September 27-29, 2013 in the heart of historic Mount Vernon.
In preparation for the festival, curb lane closures will be implemented along the following roadways with parking restricted:

Commuters should be reminded that the Madison Street/Fallsway on-ramp to the northbound Jones Falls Expressway is now closed due to construction work. The ramp closure along with the event closures will cause delays and motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes. Commuters who typically use the Madison Street/Fallsway ramp to access the northbound Jones Falls Expressway may utilize President, Gay, and Charles Streets or North Avenue as alternate routes to reach the JFX.
Motorists should also consider using alternate modes of travel including the Light Rail and Metro Subway. Transit information is available by calling 410-539-5000 or at www.mtamaryland.gov.
