Your Voter Registration Card
Everything is right on the card. It lists the voter's name, home address, and precinct, in addition to the following, fully-explained designations:
Precinct /Ward - (PRECINCT/DISTRICT) This is the area where you vote. Note that the "polling place" is the actual building where you will go to vote.
Legislative District - Your legislative district determines who represents you at the State level. (These elections include - but are not limited to the gubernatorial candidates - the election that determines the State's governor, state senators, etc.)
Congressional District - Your Congressional District determines who represents you at the Federal level. (This is the election when the President of the United States is chosen).
Council District - Your Council District determines who represents you at the local level. This includes the office of Mayor, City Council, and others.
