POSITION: Radio Dispatcher, Sheriff
GRADE: 410 ($33,510 - $39,994)

Position Duties:
Responsible for communications and clerical duties in the Baltimore City Sheriff’s Office Communications Center.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Have graduated from an accredited high school or possess a GED certificate.
Experience: One year’s full-time experience in radio dispatching, preferably in a law enforcement or security environment and proficiency in typing and use of computers.
Work Schedule:
Radio Dispatchers will work 8 hours daily on a 24 hour basis, 40 hour week rotating days off or fixed shift basis. Dispatchers subject to work holidays and weekends as required by assigned schedule.
Selection Process:
Only candidates who meet the minimum qualifications will be processed for interview for this position. Therefore it is essential that candidates give accurate and complete information regarding their minimum qualifications. Candidates will be subject to a background check and medical fitness examination.
Selection Procedure:
The examination for this position will consist of your submitted application, an oral interview and a practical demonstration of your skills.
