Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake and Corrigan Sports Enterprises (CSE) announced today that the annual Under Armour Baltimore Running Festival will take place on Saturday, October 16, 2010 marking the 10th anniversary of what has become one of the city’s largest events, drawing participants from around the world.
The 2010 Under Armour Baltimore Running Festival, which consists of the Under Armour Baltimore Marathon, CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield Half-Marathon, United Way 5K, Legg Mason Team Relay and Kids’ Fun Run, will move from its traditional date of the second Saturday in October to the third Saturday of the month.
“I am pleased that the Under Armour Baltimore Running Festival is returning for its 10th anniversary,” said Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake. “The event not only has a tremendous impact on the city’s economy, but it brings communities together with residents lining the streets to cheer for runners traveling through Baltimore’s neighborhoods.”
