Mission Statement
Baltimore Rising, Inc. (BRI), a quasi-city governmental organization, that has the primary responsibility of advancing Mayor Sheila Dixon’s vision to maximize the human potential of Baltimore residents from the beginning to the end life through mentoring family strengthening training, and facilitating the re-entry of returning offenders to their families and the community.
Philosophy:
As an arm of the Mayor’s Office of Community and Human Development (CHD), BRI embraces the philosophy that a strong family mitigates the impact of societal dysfunctions. The agency incorporates the family strengthening in the re-entry of returning offenders and mentoring. BRI seeks to provide family strengthening training to all human service providers impacting the residents of Baltimore City.
