- Boarding. Eliminated the backlog of boarding SRs and now responds within 7 days to new requests. In FY 2007 the close time for boarding work orders was reduced to an average of 3 days from the FY 2006 average of 30 days. During this same time period there was a 9.5% increase in boarding work orders completed.
- Cleaning. In FY 2007 the close time for cleaning work orders was reduced to an average of 9 days from the FY 2006 average of 97 days. During this same time period there was a 16.8% increase in cleaning work orders completed.
- High Grass and Weeds. In FY 2007 the close time for high grass (HGW) work orders was reduced to an average of 13 days from the FY 2006 average of 131 days. During this same time period there was a 27.6% increase in cleaning work orders completed.
- Multi-Family Unit Inspection. Completed the building inspections of 6,000 multi-family units during the set annual cycle for the first time in the Department’s recent history. The cycle took 11 months this year, compared to 18 months in previous years.
- One Stop Shop for Permits. Issued 2,400 more permits through the One Stop Shop in FY 2007 than in FY 2006 and increased permit revenue by almost $1.5 million. Also, brought on a consultant to further improve the City's One Stop Shop for building permits – specifically focusing on improving customer service and efficiency.
