NEW WATER TURN-OFF POLICY

The City of Baltimore has modified the Water Turn-off Program. Effective May 1, 2008, accounts are subject to turn-off for both owner and tenant occupied property. The account is subject to turn-off once the account has a delinquent balance of $ 250.00 and has been delinquent for 45 days and received a turn off notice. The Turn-off notice offers the responsible party the right to request a hearing to dispute their water bill. Services will not be re-established until the delinquent balances are settled.

The party responsible for the water bill may qualify for assistance after they received a delinquent or turn-off notice. See brochure for Low Income Water Assistance Program.

If you have questions concerning the payment of your water bill, please call 410-396-3988. The City of Baltimore values its water customers. We wish to continue providing you with excellent quality water at some of the lowest rates in the country.

Thank you for your continued support.
