| Elected active and retired member Trustees serve four-year terms. Trustees appointed by the Mayor serve terms concurrent with the Mayor's term (normally a four-year term. Appointed trustees continue to serve until replaced by the Mayor, or until the expiration of two consecutive full terms. There is no term limits for elected trustees. The ex-officio members to the Board are the City Comptroller, the Police Commissioner, and the Fire Chief. The Board Chairman and Vice-Chairman are elected by the members of the Board of Trustees. | |
