Baltimore City Mayor's Office of International and Immigrant Affairs

Mayor Sheila Dixon presents key to the city to Ashkelon, Israel Sister City Mayor Roni Mehatzri.

Welcome to the Mayor's Office of International and Immigrant Affairs.

I believe strongly in the international and immigrant community that historically and currently call Baltimore home.  I hope this office can prove a helpful resource for folks who are globally minded and serve as an important outlet for the people and businesses of Baltimore that want to get more involved with our many international opportunities.   In 2007 I merged our Immigrant services with our International operations to have more resources available to both.  Through this office, I want to provide access to valuable information about programs and important opportunities that may be useful to the thriving immigrant community in Baltimore.

The Mayor’s Office of International and Immigrant affairs works to support our all-volunteer Sister City Committees, act as host to official international delegations and visitors from abroad and help connect our immigrant community to city services.  This office has played host to presidents, ambassadors and mayors from around the world since 1972.

I invite you to enjoy the culturally diverse and welcoming community that Frommer's travel guide named one of the top ten “Up-and-Coming Travel Destinations” in the world!
