Ravens Salute Maryland Volunteers through NFL Community Quarterback Awards

The National Football League and the Baltimore Ravens have teamed up to recognize outstanding Maryland volunteers through the NFL's Community Quarterback Awards.
Funded by NFL Charities, these awards recognize community volunteers - youth and adults - who demonstrate leadership, dedication and commitment to bettering their communities. Nominations of notable volunteers, ages 13 and over, will be accepted for this year's Community Quarterback Awards beginning Monday, October 1. Individuals can also nominate themselves.

Outstanding volunteers will be honored on Nov. 18 at the Browns vs. Ravens game at M&T Bank Stadium. Recipients of the Community Quarterback Award will be awarded two tickets and VIP sideline passes for themselves and a guest, a commemorative plaque, a Ravens gift bag complete with autographed memorabilia and will be honored during a pre-game award ceremony.  In addition, the NFL will donate grants to the nonprofit charity on behalf of the award winners.

Applications for the 2007 Community Quarterback Award can be downloaded at www.baltimoreravens.com and must be postmarked by Oct. 31, 2007. For more information or to receive an application through the mail, please call the Baltimore Ravens community relations department at 410-701-4000.
