Summer Camps
For children ages 5-13, Camp Baltimore operates at the 46 recreation centers across the city. Before and after care available. Registration is ongoing. For more information, please visit your local recreation center.
Blast Camp features both indoor and outdoor play for boys and girls ages 5-15. Come and receive instruction from Blast players at William J. Myers Soccer Pavilion! For more information, please call 410-73Blast.
Wilderness Survival Camp -- for children ages 5-13-- operates at the Carrie Murray Nature Center. Registration is ongoing. For more information, please call (410) 396-0808.
Ride Around the Reservoir

Bring your family, friends and your bicycles for a Ride Around the Reservoir; or rent one of our bikes. Ride 1.5 miles around the flat reservoir road with its open views or take a tour of Druid Hill Park's hilly back roads with one of our tour guides. Bike rentals $2. Ride Around the Reservoir runs every Wednesday until September.

Join Baltimore City Department of Recreation and Parks and the Friends of Druid Hill Park for a cocktail reception in commemoration of the 60th anniversary of the historic tennis match, which became a part of Baltimore’s civil rights history. On July 11, 1948, 24 protesters were arrested after staging a demonstration on Druid Hill Parks’ segregated clay courts. This event is FREE and open to the public. Must R.S.V.P by July 7th. On your mark, get set, go! Cheer on your favorite turtle as it inches its way to the finish line during the 67th Annual Chesapeake Turtle Derby. Turtles will race in three categories: box turtles, tortoises and all other turtles. This event is FREE and open to the public.

Paddle the quiet waters of Baltimore's other harbor. Enjoy the grand view of the downtown skyline, the Hanover Street Bridge, and the brackish water at dusk. And in the morning…feel the cool breeze blowing off the water before the summer sun scorches the city on this morning jaunt across the water. Pre-registration required; please call at least 24 hours in advance. Admission is $5. Recommended for ages 7 and older.
