Center History
The recreation center was named for the inventor of
the Morse code, that is use in telegraphy and the armed forces, which
helped revolutionize communication. The recreation center is an open space
program for the state of Maryland declared by govern Marvin Mandel and
Mayor Donald Schaefer in 1977.
