TreeBaltimore is a part of the Mayor’s Greener Baltimore initiative that seeks to double Baltimore’s tree canopy from 20 percent to 40 percent within 30 years. With this initiative, Baltimore joins the ranks of cities across the country that are aggressively working toward building a sustainable urban forest.

TreeBaltimore invites you to participate in this award-winning effort to double Baltimore’s tree coverage. By doing so, you will also be helping to improve the air and water quality, fight the atmospheric greenhouse effect, save energy, and increase the economic stability of Baltimore.

Make a Difference, Plant a Tree and Save $10 through the Growing Home Campaign

The Growing Home Campaign is an innovative way that homeowners can help increase the tree canopy in our region. As part of Baltimore County's Green Renaissance and Baltimore City's TreeBaltimore Initiative, the Growing Home Campaign is a partnership between Baltimore County, Baltimore City, local retail nurseries and garden centers, and homeowners to encourage planting trees on private residential land.

The Growing Home program offers homeowners a $10 savings on qualifying trees to plant in their yards. Download the Growing Home $10 Tree Coupon and learn more about the many benefits of adding a tree to your yard including increased property value, energy savings, and beautification of our communities. Also included is information about tree planting and maintenance and a useful list of tree species and their growth characteristics.
