Our Mission

The mission statement of the Baltimore City Department of Recreation & Parks (BCRP) is to improve the health and wellness of Baltimore through quality recreational programs, preserving parks and natural resources, and promoting active lifestyles for all ages.

Rec & Parks At a Glance

Baltimore City Recreation and Parks has lots of fun things for everyone!

We have parks, trails, and water spots where you can play all year long. It's like a peaceful getaway right in the city! And the best part? It's affordable, so everyone can join in the fun.

We have places for all ages, so kids, grown-ups, and everyone can find something they love. You can learn about nature at the Carrie Murray Nature Center, see pretty plants at the Cylburn Arboretum and The Conservatory, or even go ice skating at Mt Pleasant Ice Arena!

We also have places where you can learn to row, and all our fun places are near parks, so you can relax and have a good time.
