About Lucinda Lessley

Lucinda Lessley is the Director of Oversight for the office of the Baltimore City Council President.  

Lucinda previously led a federal agency and served as staff to three Congressional committees.  During the Biden-Harris Administration, she served as the Acting Administrator and Deputy Administrator of the Maritime Administration, an agency of the U.S. Department of Transportation.   

She also served as Policy Director and Senior Investigator on the House Committee on Oversight, Senior Investigator on the House Committee on Homeland Security, and Professional Staff on the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee.  In addition, she worked as Legislative Director to the late Congressman Elijah E. Cummings.
