Baltimore City Trial Board
Trial boards occur when an officer declines a disciplinary determination issued by the Administrative Charging Committee. The case will go to a trial board made up of an administrative law judge, an officer with the same rank as the accused officer, and a civilian. The Police Accountability Board will select the civilian to serve on a trial board. Prior to serving on a trial board, civilians must attend training by the Maryland Police Training and Standards Commission.
All questions within the application are asked for informational purposes only in order to gain more insight into the candidates. Trial board applicants are subject to approval by the Police Accountability Board, must attend a training and can be asked to serve on a trial board at any time.

Administrative Charging Committee
The Baltimore City Administrative Charging Committee is seeking new members. In order to be eligible for appointment, candidates must be a resident of Baltimore City. It is anticipated that the Administrative Charging Committee will meet for a half day (8:30 am - 12:30 pm) once a week in order to review all complaints and investigations sufficiently. Members will also be required to attend an initial week-long training in preparation for their service on the Committee. Members will serve three-year terms and may serve up to two consecutive terms. Members will be compensated for their time.
Commission on Disabilities
The Commission on Disabilities is actively seeking new members.
- Work to remove barriers and promote equal rights and opportunities for individuals with disabilities.
- Ensure the City is in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
- Advise the City on the accessibility of City facilities, programs, and services for citizens with disabilities.
- Assist the City in providing information and educational programs for City government, businesses, and industries.
Community Relations Commission
The Baltimore City Community Relations Commission (CRC) is seeking new members. Commission members investigate discrimination claims and assists people who have been discriminated against by enforcing the laws that protect them. The Baltimore Community Relations Commissions mission is to combat unlawful discrimination in employment, public accommodation, housing, education, and health and welfare services.
The Commission also develops and monitors formally negotiated conciliatory agreements when a violation is found. The Baltimore Community Relations Commission consists of 10 members appointed by the mayor and approved by the City Council. The members of the Commission serve without compensation.
Police Accountability Board
In order to be eligible for appointment, candidates must be residents of Baltimore City and may not be employed as a law enforcement officer or elected official at any time during their membership. All other questions within the application are asked for informational purposes only in order to gain more insight into the candidates. Board members will serve a term of four years and may serve no more than two consecutive terms.
Veterans' Commission
The Veterans’ Commission is seeking members who are committed to assisting veterans and their families within the City and collaborating with the Mayor, City Council, veterans' groups, and other stakeholders to address veterans' policies, programs, and concerns.
Wage Commission
The Baltimore City Wage Commission is seeking new members.
- Are you interested in serving your community as a member of the Wage Commission? The Wage Commission enforces the living and prevailing wage laws of Baltimore City, as well as displaced worker protections.
- To be considered, candidates must be persons of integrity and experience with wage laws and worker protections.
Women's Commission
Baltimore City Women’s Commission is seeking new members to serve the community as a resource to assist the women of Baltimore in accessing information and services intended to improve their lives and the lives of their families.
