Report Damage After a Storm

The Baltimore City Office of Emergency Management (OEM) needs your help after severe weather or a disaster. By filling out this survey, you can report damage to your private property. The information helps us understand how badly our community was affected and what kind of support residents may need for recovery.

  • Filling out this survey does not guarantee financial assistance from the federal, state, or local government.
  • This survey is not for emergencies. If you are in danger or have life-threatening needs, please call 911 right away.

Frequently Asked Questions

A common question you may be asking before, or after, damage has occurred in our community.

Does reporting damage mean I’ll receive disaster aid?
No. This survey helps Baltimore City collect information on the extent and cost of damage in our neighborhoods. If the overall damage is high enough, we can request assistance from the state and federal government. Aid is only possible if the total damage meets certain dollar thresholds.

The goal of OEM’s damage assessments is to gather strong evidence so we can push for as much help as possible for residents recovering from disasters.
