Real Property Payment Plans Are Available
The City of Baltimore is now offering monthly payment plans for past-due property taxes from 2025 and earlier. The new payment plans are designed to help residents stay in good standing and avoid the 2026 tax sale.
Residents interested in a property payment plan should go to https://baltimore-dof.promise-pay.com/ to enroll by May 12.
The City of Baltimore is partnering with Promise, the same secure payment plan provider that has already helped more than 12,350 Baltimore residents manage their water bills since 2023. Promise’s technology is now being extended to real property taxes, giving homeowners a simple, mobile-friendly way to enroll in a payment plan.

How Payment Plans Will Work
Eligible homeowners will be able to:
- Enroll online in minutes from any device
- Choose monthly payments that fit their budget
- Address past-due real property taxes from 2025 and earlier
- Receive protection from the 2026 tax sale upon enrollment
For example, a homeowner with a $3,000 balance could break it into manageable payments of $250 per month, or another amount that works for their situation.
