What We Do

The Facilities Management Division manages and maintains a diverse portfolio of city-owned properties. The Division consists of over 100 staff members, including engineers, superintendents, pipefitters, electricians, mechanical and electrical technicians, and carpenters. The quality staff provides around-the-clock construction, repair, and maintenance of city facilities, fire stations, libraries, and more. We also provide custodial staff and building security services for public buildings. Facilities Management strives to improve operations and reduce spending by embracing preventative maintenance and proactive measures.

The Archibus system supports our business processes and provides accurate data to our management team to enhance decisions. We effectively manage more than 60,000 work orders—which consist of building information, maintenance costs, and problem types that are associated with over 200 buildings—all routed through Archibus. Our goal is to align with our department’s mission of delivering results that are timely, cost-effective and sustainable, and provide red carpet service to our customers.

If you are a City employee and would like to place a work order, please contact your Service Request Liaison (SRL).
