Our office works to make homelessness in the city rare, short, and not something people experience again. These initiatives and programs help people find housing, meet urgent needs, and connect to helpful resources.
Housing Opportunities for Persons With AIDS (HOPWA)
MOHS works to provide stable housing and supportive services to persons living with HIV/AIDS to improve their quality of life.

Housing Navigation Program
MOHS teams up with the Enoch Pratt Free Library System to make special help centers in some libraries. At these centers, people can meet with MOHS Housing Navigators, who can help them find housing and other support.

Coordinated Access System
Coordinated Access (CA) Navigators are trained to help individuals and families experiencing homelessness with gathering the necessary information needed to complete housing applications.

Homeless Management Information System (HMIS)
HMIS is a HUD-mandated system used by the Baltimore City Continuum of Care (CoC) to track client services, program impact, and citywide data on homelessness.

Homelessness and Housing Initiative
The MOHS was one of the largest awardees of ARPA grants given out by the Scott Administration. This money has been used to support housing programs and address challenges for people experiencing homelessness.
