About Demaune Millard

Demaune A. Millard serves as the fifth President and CEO of Family League, Maryland's largest local management board for thriving families and grantmaking. Since assuming leadership in 2018, he has demonstrated exceptional stewardship over Family League's $20+ million operating portfolio targeting Baltimore City families. Under his tenure, Family League's thriving families platform has achieved unprecedented national recognition from leading philanthropies and National Academies for Future Youth Development.

He currently serves on advisory boards for Bloomberg Public Health Initiative and Morgan State University's School for Community Health Policy. His prior board leadership includes membership on the Greater Baltimore Committee Presidential Advisory Council and the United Way of Central Maryland Partnership Board.

With over 12 years of C-Suite experience spanning nonprofit leadership and local public administration, Demaune has consistently delivered transformative results across multi-billion- dollar public portfolios and strategic advisory roles involving civic initiatives. His governance expertise encompasses strategic oversight of complex community systems, forged through his unique trajectory from Senator Barbara Mikulski's legislative team to Baltimore's Mayor's Cabinet.

A passionate Ravens and Orioles fan, Demaune is deeply rooted in his hometown of Baltimore City and credits his success to the support of both parents and older sisters. He is an alumnus of Howard University and a proud member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, where he has been recognized for exceptional community service and leadership excellence.
