Overview

In 2019, the Mayor's Office of Immigrant Affairs (MIMA) formed its Community Advisory Board (CAB), a group of fifteen New American community members who oversee the office's work and the implementation of its strategic plan. In addition, CAB members have the opportunity to connect with and offer feedback to various City agencies and serve as ambassadors within their respective communities. CAB meets virtually every other month, and members are expected to be present at least four meetings per year. Once appointed, members serve two-year terms.

Currently, MIMA is seeking to fill several vacancies on its Community Advisory Board. In particular, we are seeking representatives from Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI), African, and Southwest Asia and North Africa (SWANA) communities.

The application will be open until Friday, February 14, 2025, at 5 PM. All interested applicants should apply through this form before the deadline. Thank you for your interest in supporting the work of MIMA!
