Overview
The Mayor’s Office of Immigrant Affairs (MIMA) is currently accepting applications from individuals interested in becoming Commissioners of the Baltimore City Hispanic Commission. The Hispanic Commission’s central purpose is to advise the Mayor, City Council, and city agencies on the development of policies and programs to address issues relevant to Baltimore’s Hispanic community.
The responsibilities of Hispanic Commission members are as follows:
- Serve for the duration of one mayoral term (four years);
- Attend meetings every other month and participate in the planning and development of projects and activities; and
- Participate in at least one subcommittee to fulfill the Commission’s objectives.
Applicants must be a minimum of 18 years of age and shall be representatives of the Hispanic community in Baltimore City. To apply, please email hispanic.commission@baltimorecity.gov for an application.
