Overview
YouthWorks helps thousands of young people, ages 14 to 21, find summer jobs with businesses, nonprofits, and government offices in Baltimore. These jobs let participants explore different careers and learn important workplace skills. Our partners include the City of Baltimore, the State of Maryland, local businesses, nonprofits, donors, and the Baltimore Workforce Development Board Youth Committee.
Hire:
Businesses can apply to hire YouthWorks participants for summer 2025. Email yw.private@baltimorecity.gov or call 410-396-6722 for details.
Host:
Nonprofits, community groups, and government agencies can host YouthWorks participants in already funded positions. Email summerjobs@baltimorecity.gov or call 410-545-1820 to learn more.
Donate:
Help support youth job opportunities! Tax-deductible donations go through the Baltimore Civic Fund. Each job placement costs $2,100, but any amount helps. Checks can be made out to Baltimore Civic Fund/YouthWorks and mailed to MOED, 101 W. 24th Street, Baltimore, MD 21218.

The Baltimore Civic Fund is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization – donations to which are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. A copy of their current financial statement is available upon written request at One North Charles St., Suite 1600 Baltimore, MD 21201. Documents submitted to the State of Maryland under the Maryland Charitable Solicitations Act are available from the Office of the Secretary of State for the cost of copying and postage.
