I am grateful to Dr. Leana Wen for her many contributions to improving the health and well-being of all Baltimoreans as Health Commissioner since 2015.  We have made significant progress in addressing issues of health disparity across our City, and in developing innovative approaches for prevention and treatment.  Dr. Wen has achieved national leadership on a broad range of public health issues, which has also led to national recognition for the Baltimore Health Department as among the most impactful in improving health outcomes for citizens of all ages.

A new “mobile workforce resource” was unveiled today by Mayor Catherine E. Pugh that will serve as a career center on wheels for residents in need of job assistance and employment resources. Joined by Director of the Office of Employment Development Jason Perkins-Cohen, and the Chair of the Baltimore Workforce Development Board, Yariela Kerr-Donovan, Mayor Pugh highlighted the benefits of this mobile job resource vehicle in providing vital employment resources directly to citizens most in need and where they live.
