What We Do

The Baltimore Planning Commission has served our city since 1947. Our mission is to make sure our city thrives in all the right ways. We're a diverse team of nine members, including citizens, city leaders, and experts, all working together for our community's well-being.

Our main job is to plan how our city grows and make sure it's safe and organized. We help create budgets and oversee land use and zoning rules. We follow local and state laws so that our city stays a great place to live.

The Planning Commission meets throughout the year. These meetings are open to the public, and you can even watch them online. This helps everyone stay up-to-date on what’s going on for the good of Baltimore.

Virtual Meetings
