RFEAs are cohorts of Baltimore City residents that work to drive equitable food policies through an inclusive, collaborative process.

Clean Corps works with local nonprofits in partnership with 26 neighborhoods to clean and maintain community-selected vacant lots, alleys, and more

Baltimore Planning Academy

The Baltimore Planning Academy aims to build community leadership around urban planning, zoning, and development issues through a Baltimore lens.

INSPIRE

This program focuses on the neighborhoods immediately surrounding each of the modernized schools that are part of the 21st Century program.

The CAD is a comprehensive listing of community associations in Baltimore City. The listings in the CAD Are self-reported.

Equity in Planning Committee

Department staff created an internal, staff-driven Equity in Planning Committee (EIPC) in 2015. The group still operates today, overseeing the implementation of the Department's Equity Action Plan.

The EIPC is driven by a desire to actively work towards dismantling and remedying the legacy of racial inequity that persists in Baltimore.

Equity Through Data and Analysis

One of the first recommendations of the Equity in Planning Committee was to assess the equity of the Baltimore Capital Improvement Program (CIP), the capital budget of the City.

To do this, we've analyzed the distribution of CIP investments annually since 2019. We continue to improve our methods and the approach for analyzing CIP investments.
