Working Together for a Cleaner, More Resilient Baltimore

Are you part of a Baltimore based organization that is passionate about zero-waste initiatives? The Baltimore Zero Waste Coalition (ZWC) invites local organizational stakeholders to join a growing movement to advance zero waste across our city.

Convened by DPW’s Office of Waste Diversion (OWD), the ZWC brings together community organizations, educational institutions, nonprofits, and businesses to build partnerships, share resources, and implement solutions that minimize landfill and incinerator use while maximizing reuse, recycling, and composting.

Mission

The Baltimore Zero Waste Coalition is dedicated to promoting waste diversion practices that minimize landfill/incineration use and maximize resource recovery. Through education, collaboration, and advocacy we work towards creating a zero-waste culture in Baltimore City.

Vision

We envision a Baltimore where zero waste is a reality and sustainable practices are embedded in everyday life. By fostering partnerships, supporting policy change, and inspiring collective action, we aim to create a more equitable, resilient, and environmentally responsible city.
