Rat Control Program
Our rat control service targets rodent infestations and promotes public health. If you suspect a rat problem, call 311 or submit a service request online. A Right of Entry Form must be submitted for inspections on private property. Learn more about the program.

The Property Management team maintains vacant properties by:
- Boarding up abandoned properties
- Cleaning and mowing city-owned lots

Downtown Cleaning Program
DPW works with Downtown Partnership to maintain the cleanliness of high-traffic downtown areas through regular street cleaning.
Homeless Encampment Cleaning
This program provides sanitation services for public spaces while working with the Mayor's Office of Homeless Services to offer support to individuals experiencing homelessness.
Waterway Cleaning
DPW reduces pollution and improves the cleanliness of Baltimore’s Inner Harbor, Chesapeake Bay, and surrounding waterways.
Gateway & Business District Cleaning
This program ensures high-traffic business districts remain clean, attractive, and welcoming for residents, businesses, and visitors.
