Subject Property: 

The project is located at 701 Reedbird Ave. Baltimore, MD 21225. The project is located within the Chesapeake Bay Critical Area Resource Conservation Area.

Project Description: 

The city proposes redeveloping and expanding the Western Sanitation Yard to improve parking, staff facilities, and circulation, enhancing safety and traffic flow. The project is intended to modernize the facility, meet growing service demands, and provide a safer, more functional environment for sanitation workers and residents. The existing facility is located partially within the Critical Area on land designated as a Resource Conservation Area. The existing use of the facility is considered nonconforming; therefore, the proposed expansion into the Resource Conservation Area requires Conditional Approval by the Critical Area Commission.
