BALTIMORE, MD (Tuesday, September 1, 2026) – Today, Baltimore Main Streets (BMS) announced the launch of their newly designed website. While the previous page served as a quick hub for the individual main street websites, the new site showcases a business directory, event calendar for upcoming events, along with photo galleries of past ones.

“The Baltimore Main Streets program supports local revitalization organizations in pursuing operational excellence.  This is an example of the Baltimore Main Streets Program strengthening our local Main Street Communities with strategic marketing support to amplify their work & display the unique character of their community”, said Christopher R. Lundy, Esq. (Director of SMBA&D). “The Main Street business directory provides over 900 small local businesses to support across our nine local Main Streets.  This resource makes it easier than ever to identify & support Baltimore Main Street businesses throughout the year.”

The new website took around 2 months to build and aims to keep locals and visitors informed about what’s happening within their main streets along with amplifying the businesses along their corridors with a directory.

"Baltimore Main Streets has always been about supporting the vitality of small businesses while preserving the unique character and identity of our commercial corridors. I envisioned this platform as a way to bring that ecosystem together in one accessible place and give each of our Main Street nonprofit partners greater visibility,” said Khadeeja Muhammad, Project Engagement Manager for SMBA&D and lead for the web redesign project. “By combining technology with storytelling, we’ve created more than a resource for the work happening today. We’ve built a foundation for greater connection, collaboration and continued growth across our nine Main Streets.”
