Bulk Tax Sale Overview

Each year in October, the City of Baltimore conducts a Bulk Tax Sale. The Bulk Tax Sale is a sealed bid auction. The auction is advertised in two newspapers prior to the date of auction.  

The properties in the Bulk Tax Sale are sold as one lot. Therefore, bids for individual tax certificates are not accepted. All bids are final.

Bids must arrive by 11:00 a.m. local time on the Bulk Tax Sale date. They will be opened in Room 215 at City Hall at noon on that same date. Late bids will not be accepted. You can submit bids by mail, overnight delivery, or in person. Faxed bids are not allowed.
