Crossing guards at an intersection

Parking Enforcement

The Parking Enforcement team has officers who patrol the city, making sure everyone follows the parking rules.

Point Traffic Control

Transportation Enforcement Officers help control traffic at busy intersections downtown.

Repeated Violations

Transportation Enforcement Officers look for cars that have three or more unpaid parking tickets that are over 30 days old. They use special tools to find these cars and put boots on them to stop the cars from moving until the tickets are paid.

Abandoned Vehicles

Officers patrol different parts of the city to find abandoned cars or cars that have been parked in one spot for more than 48 hours. They mark the cars with chalk and put an orange sticker on cars without tags or that are broken. If the car stays in the same spot for more than 48 hours, it gets a ticket and is towed.

Crossing Guards

Crossing Guards are at intersections where more than 30 kids cross the street to go to school. They help keep the kids safe while they walk.
