Weekday Downtown Road Closures for Monday, April 20th Through Friday, April 24, 2026

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation (DOT) would like to advise motorists, bicyclists, and pedestrians of the tentatively scheduled weekday lane and road closures for the following activities in the downtown area.

Motorists are encouraged to download the Waze.com app for live detour navigation. 

All activities are weather permitting and times are approximate.  The DOT is not responsible for providing status updates and this list may not be comprehensive of all roadwork in the downtown area.

 

Downtown lane closures scheduled for the week of April 20–24, 2026, include:

  • Guilford Avenue reduced to one travel lane (full time) between E. Lexington and E. Fayette Streets.

  • E. Fayette Street curb lane closure (full time) between Guilford Avenue and Holliday Street.

  • Charles Street right lane closure (full time) between Pratt and Lombard Streets.

  • Pratt Street nightly lane closures between Light and President Streets Sunday evening, April 19th, from 9:00pm to 5:00am the following morning through Thursday evening, April 23rd from 9:00pm to 5:00am the following morning.
    Overnight truck detours will be in effect on Sunday, April 19th from 9:00pm to 5:00am Monday morning.  Truck access to northbound President Street from eastbound Pratt Street will be prohibited, and truck traffic will be detoured onto Central Avenue during this time.  (Inner Harbor Intersection Improvement Project).
