The Baltimore City Department of Transportation (BCDOT) would like to advise motorists of the weekday road closures and/or traffic modifications for the following activities scheduled in the downtown area.
Motorists are encouraged to download the Waze.com app for live detour navigation. All activities are weather permitting and times are approximate. BCDOT is not responsible for providing status updates.
Weekday downtown road closures and/or traffic modifications tentatively scheduled for the week of February 24th through February 28, 2025, include:
Guilford Avenue double left lane closures (full time) between Monument and Madison Streets (BGE pipeline project) now in effect and will continue throughout the week.
Charles Street left lane closure (full time) between Saratoga and Fayette Streets from approximately 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 12th until 5:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 (water main work)
Holliday Street left lane closure (full time) between Saratoga and Lexington Streets from approximately 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 12th until 5:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 (water main work)
Franklin Street right lane closure (full time) between St. Paul and Calvert Streets from approximately 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 12th until 5:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 (water main work)
E. Pleasant Street left lane closure (full time) between Charles and St. Paul Streets from approximately 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 12th until 5:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 (water main work)
St. Paul Street right lane closure (full time) between St. Paul and Calvert Streets from approximately 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 12th until 5:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 (water main work)
In addition, the following lane closures will be implemented Tuesday, February 25th through Friday, February 28th between the hours of 7:00 p.m. and 11:59 p.m. for the CIAA Tournament at the CFG Bank Arena:
Howard Street left lane closure from Camden to Pratt Streets
Lombard Street right lane closure from Hopkins Place to Howard Street
Baltimore Street left lane closure from Howard Street to Park Avenue
Pratt Street left lane closure from Eutaw to Howard Streets
During the championship games on Saturday, March 1st, the lane closures listed above will be implemented from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Motorists traveling in these areas may experience delays and are encouraged to use alternate routes.
