Beware of Weekend Road Closures
The Baltimore City Department of Transportation (DOT) would like to advise motorists of the temporary road closures and traffic modifications for the following activities this weekend. Traffic Modifications for the Morgan Wallen Concerts at M&T Bank Stadium
This Friday and Saturday, traffic modifications will be in effect for the Morgan Wallen concerts being held at M&T Bank Stadium.
In preparation for the events, the following road and lane closures will be in effect on Friday, July 17th and Saturday, July 18, 2026, starting at approximately 12:30 p.m. each day:
- The northbound Russell Street Service Drive alongside M&T Bank Stadium will be closed between West and Hamburg Streets prior to and during the events.
- The Hamburg Street Bridge will be temporarily closed between Leadenhall and Paca Streets for event ingress. Once the concerts begin, the closures will be removed until just before the end of the events.
- The Ostend Street Bridge will be temporarily closed between Sharp and Warner Streets for concert ingress. Once the concerts begin, the closures will be removed until just before the end of the events.
- A special traffic pattern will be temporarily installed along Warner Street between the Ostend Street Bridge and Stockholm Street for event ingress and railroad crossings.
- Special traffic patterns will be installed along Warner Street, Alluvion Street, Worcester Street, and Bayard Street for egress near the end of the concerts.
- Hamburg Street will be closed between Hanover and Charles Streets near the end of the concerts.
- No southbound travel will be permitted along Hanover Street between Henrietta and Hamburg Streets near the end of the concerts. All traffic will be diverted onto Henrietta Street for east or westbound travel.
Special traffic pattern along Warner Street: Due to construction, Warner Street is closed between Worcester and W. Ostend Streets. To assist with event traffic, a special traffic pattern will be implemented along Warner Street for fans entering and leaving the stadium. Also, a one-way ingress (northbound) and egress (southbound) lane will be implemented on Warner Street, along with a pedestrian walkway.
Overnight Repair Work Scheduled for the Hanover Street Bridge Sunday Evening; Northbound traffic will be detoured during this time
On Sunday evening, overnight repair work is scheduled along the Hanover Street Bridge/Vietnam Veterans Memorial Bridge for grate repair work, with northbound detours in effect.
On Sunday, July 19, 2026, overnight repair work will occur along the Hanover Street Bridge (northbound) between Waterview Avenue and Cromwell Street from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Monday morning. During these hours, all northbound lanes on the bridge will be fully closed with detours in effect.
Northbound Hanover Street traffic traveling towards the bridge will be detoured west onto Waterview Avenue, north onto Annapolis Road, northeast on Russell Street, and east on Hamburg Street back to Hanover Street.
Motorists traveling in this area should anticipate delays, allow extra travel time, and consider using alternate routes. Drivers may also use the Waze.com app for live detour navigation.
Lane Closures for CFG Bank Arena Event
On Saturday evening, temporary lane closures will be implemented in the vicinity of the CFG Bank Arena for an arena event.
In preparation for the event, the following lane closures will be implemented from approximately 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 18th until 1:00 a.m. on Sunday, July 19, 2026:
- Howard Street left lane closure from Camden to Pratt Streets
- Lombard Street right lane closure from Hopkins Place to Howard Street
- Baltimore Street left lane closure from Howard Street to Park Avenue
- Pratt Street left lane closure from Eutaw to Howard Streets
Traffic Modifications for Weekend Activities
On Saturday, July 18, 2026, the following road and lane closures will be in effect:
- Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd northbound closure between Baltimore and Fayette Sts 7:00am to 7:00pm (crane operation)
- Charles St closed between Hamburg and Cross Sts 6:00am to 8:00pm (special event - God’s Best Family 4th Annual Friend and Family Fun Day Festival)
- Dillon Street lane closures and traffic flagging operation between S. East Ave and S. Bouldin St 7:00am to 11:00am (crane operation)
On Sunday, July 19, 2026, the following road closures will be in effect:
- Hanover Street Bridge northbound closure between Waterview Ave and Cromwell St 8:00pm Sunday evening to 5:00am Monday morning (grate repairs)
- The following streets will be temporarily closed from 4:00pm to 6:00pm (special event – 100th Year Convocation Processional):
- Denison Rd between Liberty Heights Ave and Dorchester Rd
- Dorchester Rd between Denison Rd and Edgewood St
- Edgewood St between Dorchester Rd and Liberty Heights Ave
Traffic Modifications for the Baltimore Farmers’ Market
This Sunday, traffic modifications will be in effect for the Baltimore Farmers’ Market, which is held under the Jones Falls Expressway along Saratoga Street between Holliday and Gay Streets.
On Sunday, July 19, 2026, the following street and lane closures will be implemented from approximately 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with parking restrictions in effect:
- Holliday St closed from E. Pleasant to E. Saratoga Sts
- Pleasant St closed at Holliday St
- Hillen St center lane closure between Front St and Fallsway
