Weekend Road Closures for Friday, May 8th Through Sunday, May 10, 2026

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation (DOT) would like to advise motorists of the temporary road closures and traffic modifications for the following activities this weekend.  Please download the Waze.com app for live detour navigation.  All activities are weather permitting and DOT is not responsible for providing status updates.

Road and Lane Closures for Baltimore Orioles Home Games

This weekend, the following road and lane closures will be implemented on Friday, May 8th, starting at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, May 9th, starting at 4:00 p.m., and Sunday, May 10th, starting at 10:30 a.m. for Baltimore Orioles home games at Oriole Park at Camden Yards:

  • Hamburg Street closed from Leadenhall to Paca Streets
  • The northbound service lane closed next to M&T Bank Stadium
  • Camden Street closed from Paca to Howard Streets 

 

Lane and Ramp Closures Along the Southbound  Jones Falls Expressway

On Saturday, May 9, 2026, the following lane and ramp closures will be in effect along the southbound Jones Falls Expressway / I-83 from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for graffiti removal (weather permitting):

  • Right lane closure of the southbound Jones Falls Expressway from the 29thStreet ramp to Guilford Avenue
  • The North Avenue access ramp to the southbound Jones Falls Expressway
  • The Maryland Avenue exit ramp from the southbound Jones Falls Expressway
  • Guilford Avenue exit ramp from the southbound Jones Falls Expressway  

Motorists traveling southbound on the expressway during this time should remain alert for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

Traffic Modifications for Remfest 2026

This Saturday, traffic modifications will be in effect for Remfest 2026, which will be held in Remington.

On Saturday, May 9, 2026, the following streets will be closed from approximately 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. with detours and parking restrictions in effect:

  • Remington Ave closed between W. 27th and W. 29th Sts
  • 28th St between Fox St and Cresmont Ave
  • 27th St between Huntingdon Ave and Howard St
  • Cresmont Ave between W. 28th and W. 27th Sts 

Traffic Modifications for the Hampden Dash

This Saturday, traffic modifications will be in effect for the Hampden Dash, which will be held in Hampden.  On Saturday, May 9, 2026, the following streets will be closed from approximately 7:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with detours and parking restrictions in effect:

  • Chestnut Ave between W. 36th St and W. 37th St
  • 37th St between Chestnut Ave and Tudor Arms Ave
  • Tudor Arms Ave between W. 37th St and W. University Pkwy
  • Beech Ave between W. 39th St and W. 34th St
  • 34th St between Beech Ave and Gilman Terrace
  • Elm Ave between W. 36th St and W. 37th St

The race begins and ends at Hampden Elementary Middle School, and kicks off at 8:30 a.m.  Participants will start in front of the school, head north and turn right on 37th St, then north on Tudor Arms Ave until the turnaround point at W. University Pkwy.  Participants will then run southwest on Tudor Arms Ave, left (south) on Beech Ave, left on 34th St/Gilman Terrace to turnaround at 500 W. 33rd St. Run north on Gilman Terrace/34th St, right on Beech Ave, and right on 37th St. Run north towards 27th St then turn right. Run north on Tudor Arms Ave until the turnaround point at W. University Pkwy. Run southwest on Tudor Arms Ave, left (south) on Beech Ave, and right on 36th St. Run west on Elm St, right on 37th St, and right on Chestnut Ave to finish in front of school.

Temporary traffic stops may be implemented during the race for the safety of participants. 

Traffic Modifications for Weekend Activities

On Friday, May 8, 2026, the following road closures will be in effect:

  • Cathedral St closure between Madison and Monument Sts 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. (special event - Baltimore School for the Arts)
  • Old York Rd closure between Wyanoke and Cator Aves 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. (special event - Tupac Street Dedication)

On Saturday, May 9, 2026, the following lane and road closures will be in effect:

  • President St right curb lane closure between Lombard and Pratt Sts 6:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. (special event – Big Truck Day)
  • Cylburn Ave closure between Greenspring Ave and Northern Parkway 6:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. (special event – Market Day) 

On Sunday, May 10, 2026, the following road closures will be in effect:

  • Mobile road closures of Saratoga Street at Park Ave, to Mulberry Street, to Cathedral Street, back to Saratoga Street 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. (special event – Procession) 

Traffic Modifications for the Baltimore Farmers’ Market

This Sunday, traffic modifications will be in effect for the Baltimore Farmers’ Market, which is held under the Jones Falls Expressway along Saratoga Street between Holliday and Gay Streets.

On Sunday, May 10, 2026, the following street and lane closures will be implemented from approximately 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with parking restrictions in effect:

  • Holliday Street closed from E. Pleasant Street to E. Saratoga Street
  • Pleasant Street closed at Holliday Street
  • Hillen Street center lane closure between Front Street and Fallsway

Motorists traveling in these vicinities should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and should use alternate routes.
