Strengthening Neighborhoods Through Shared Culture
The War Memorial Arts Initiative presents a variety of performing, visual, and interactive arts in downtown Baltimore. The program regularly hosts theater, fashion shows, musical performances, art galleries, and craft fairs, featuring local artists. WMAI seeks to strengthen the neighborhoods around City Hall by promoting civic engagement while honoring and serving veterans. Baltimore's Department of General Services operates the arts initiative and maintains the War Memorial on behalf of the War Memorial Commission.
