Viewing BMZA Records
BMZA records are open to the public. What to do depends on what you are looking for.
Looking for a decision on a specific property
Start with Decisions and Resolutions. If you have a case number or a property address, Board staff can send you a copy of the signed resolution. Email bmza@baltimorecity.gov.
Viewing a full case file in person
A case file holds the application, plans, exhibits, correspondence, and anything else submitted in the case. You can view records in person during regular business hours, 8:30am to 4:30pm, by appointment. Please request your appointment at least 48 hours in advance.
Requesting copies of records
If you want copies of records, you can make a request under the Maryland Public Information Act (MPIA). There are two ways to file:
- Complete the MPIA Request Webform.
- Or download the BMZA Document Request Form (PDF), fill it out, and send it by email or by regular mail.
Mail requests to:
BMZA, Attn: Carolyn Young, MPIA Request
417 E. Fayette Street, Room 922, Baltimore, MD 21202
Phone: 410-396-4301
After we receive your request, someone will contact you within 10 days.
